Cumberbatch and Gilmour team up for “Comfortably Numb”

The prominent British actor has joined amazing “Pink Floyd`s” vocalist at his London show.

Yesterday David Gilmour played the third of his five-night shows at Royal Albert Hall in London. Suddenly Benedict Cumberbatch joined him for “Comfortably Numb”. This is one of the most prominent band`s songs from their amazing “The Wall” studio album released in 1979.

Originally this song was performed by Roger Waters only. Even though David Gilmour frequently plays “Comfortably Numb” at his solo performances since Pink Floyd disbanded in 1994, the musician often uses guest vocalists to sing his ex-colleague' part.

For example, in 2006, Waters`s part was performed by David Bowie.

By the way, Benedict Cumberbatch has already had preceding singing experience. In 2013, he performed “Can't Keep It Inside” for his film “August: Osage County”. The actor often visits various gigs in London when he is free from filming.
